BT Billing is a third party billing company hired to calculate and issue utility bills on a monthly basis to the residents of your community. Water and sewer charges for each apartment are allocated based on a RUBS (Ratio Utility Billing System) method of billing. This method is used where there are no sub-meters installed.

Water and sewer charges are calculated using actual metered consumption amounts and rates billed by local City water authorities using the property master meter(s). These actual consumption amounts are then allocated to each apartment using a formula formatted for each community. These formulas may be based upon criteria such as the number of occupants per apartment or the square footage of the apartment. The common denominator is to be as fair and equitable to the resident as possible.
